After enduring two recent and consecutive civil wars spanning over eleven years, the people of Liberia have suffered immensely.  Because the country is still in the process of rebuilding, many communities and villages within Liberia still lack basic necessities such as electricity and running water.  Since the deadly Ebola virus devastated Liberia in 2014, the majority of families can only afford to eat one meal a day.  This has had a catastrophic affect upon school-aged children and their ability to be educated well.  Each morning, they attend school hungry in anticipation of their first meal at 5:00pm.

Here's where HWA Cares comes in.  For every HWA shirt or hat purchased, 20% of the price will be sent to the Evangelical Church of Liberia who is committed to feeding hundreds of children.  With children being able to eat more than one meal a day (3 meals a day w/ the purchase of one shirt or hat), they will become more healthy, whole, and alive.  Consequently, their ability to thrive academically in school would increase.

It's great for us to become healthy, whole and alive.  However, it's even better to give that gift to others in need.  Please help us to feed the children of Liberia.

Thank you!

In 2013, I was blessed to visit a rural village outside of Monrovia, Liberia and meet some of these children.

These children were pleasant and kind, and also eager to take a photo.

These kids were astonished by the picture that I took of them.
